OUR detoxification program
Many of my patients intuitively know that they are suffering from the effects of “toxicity” and ask for a detoxification program.

However, most of them think of detoxification as being primarily directed at cleaning out a perhaps chronically sluggish colon. Toxicity really means having any blockages which prevent the body from utilizing focused and normally effective treatment to accomplish the end result of improvement in that patient’s health. In other words it is indeed true that many ill patients will not and cannot get well until they are “detoxed”. So what “toxins” actually block the healing process, and what must be done about them?

Toxic Relationships: Talk, resolve issues or forget them, act, don’t ignore or procrastinate, separate yourself from relationship turmoil and chronic stress

Life Style: Quit bad habits, exercise, eat right, rest and sleep

Your Environment: Air, water, food, work space must all be clean

Your Body: Bowel, liver, kidneys, lymphatics, skin, nervous system, and body cells and cell membranes must be helped back to normal function..

In essence we are dealing with 4 types of “toxicity”. Psychological stress, poor life style habits, environmental toxins, and biochemical roadblocks to proper elimination and function. All of these things produce destructive hormonal, cellular, and anatomic bodily changes which increase the speed of deterioration of the body and block your ability to get well.

The “detox” protocol I have developed here at Caring Medical takes all of these factors into consideration. What is involved? Well first, I need to know about you. A careful medical history and a complete battery of questionnaires will help me discover what type of toxicity you may be suffering from, as well as identify the specific health conditions that will require treatment once your body is able and ready to respond to natural medicine treatment. Next, we must do some fairly extensive testing to confirm and fill in the details as to what particular toxicity problems you may be suffering from. Such testing often includes hormonal assessment of adrenal stress hormones, liver challenge testing for determination of the functional adequacy of detoxification pathways, stool tests including parasite exam, general blood chemistry, challenge and fecal tests for heavy metals, assessment of body acidity, cellular metabolism, and blood coagulability, plus perhaps tests for fatty acid balance, cell membrane integrity, food sensitivities, and chronic infections. Once we know what we are dealing with we can begin the process of “detoxification”.

We will discuss the sources of stress in your life, and what you can do about them. We will teach you the life style changes you need to make. We will help you identify and remove environmental sources of toxicity. And finally, we will intervene with powerful, focused, and effective natural medicine treatments ( like oral supplements, flushes, mechanical methods, and dry heat hyperthermia) that can clear the biochemical roadblocks that stand between you and better health. In a detailed, prescribed, and ordered fashion we will address the issues one after another until we have cleared the bowel, the liver, the kidney, the lymphatics, and the skin. With our intravenous therapies (like ozone, phosphatidyl choline, calcium EDTA, glutathione, and photoluminescence) we will restore antioxidant buffering capacity, deal with chronic infection and a weak immune system, repair damaged cell membranes, and reverse the metabolic defect so common to the chronically ill patient: lack of adequate energy production within the cells.

A complete detoxification program before specific disease oriented therapies are undertaken can often help my patients achieve their goal of improving their health when nothing else has ever seemed to work before. Removal of neuro and biotoxins, heavy metals, immune inflammatory markers called cytokines, stabilizing essential fatty acids, healing the cell membrane, and dealing with hypercoagulability of the blood, energy production defects, and pathogenic organisms are crucial starting points in the healing journey. For those few hearty souls out there trying to preserve and fine tune their already good health, I would encourage them to consider a periodic modified detoxification program at periodic intervals as well.
